This 9-day luxurious “Grand Tour” of Tunisia provides an immersive experience in 5-star hotels. DAY BY DAY

DAY 1: TUNIS (FRIDAY)

Arrival at Tunis airport. Reception and transfer to hotel in Tunis. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tunis (Dinner is included).

DAY 2: CARTHAGE - SIDI BOU SAID (SATURDAY)

Full board. After breakfast, exploration of Carthage archaeological site including Punic ruins, Antonine Baths and the amphitheater. After lunch, visit to Sidi Bou Said, a picturesque village with white houses and blue doors and windows, offering stunning sea views. Overnight stay in Tunis

DAY 3: TUNIS - BARDO - MEDINA - SOUSSE (SUNDAY)

Full board. Visit to the Bardo Museum with its famous Roman mosaics collection. Exploration of Tunis, founded in the 9th century BC. Lunch in the Medina of Tunis. Free time for shopping. Continuation to Sousse, known as the Pearl of the Coast. Overnight stay in Sousse.

DAY 4: SOUSSE - MONASTIR (MONDAY)

Full board. Visit to the Ribat of Monastir, the oldest built by Arab conquerors during the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb. Visit to Bourguiba’s Mausoleum, an important Tunisian leader. Lunch (included) at a restaurant in Monastir. Visit to the Sousse Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time in the Medina. Overnight stay in Sousse.

DAY 5: SOUSSE - EL JEM - MATMATA - TOZEUR (TUESDAY)

Full board. Visit to the Roman Amphitheater in El Jem, comparable to Rome’s Colosseum. Continue to Matmata, known for its underground troglodyte houses of the Amazigh tribe. Visit to a typical house and discovery of Berber traditions. Lunch at a typical restaurant. End the day in Tozeur passing through the spectacular salt lake of Chott El Jerid. Dinner and overnight stay in Tozeur.

DAY 6: TOZEUR (WEDNESDAY)

Full board. Visit to the charming Medina of Tozeur. Lunch at the oasis. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in Tozeur. Optional excursion: safari in the oases and desert – a 4×4 excursion to visit the mountain oases and waterfalls of Chebika, Tamerza and Ong Jmal, including Star Wars filming locations.

DAY 7: TOZEUR - KAIROUAN - HAMMAMET (THURSDAY)

Full board. Visit to Kairouan, one of the holiest cities in Islam. Tour of the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafa, the first mosque founded in Africa in 671 AD, and the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi. Visit to a carpet factory. After lunch, continuation to Hammamet, a beautiful coastal city. Dinner and overnight stay in Hammamet.

DAY 8: HAMMAMET (FRIDAY)

Full board. Free day to enjoy the beach or spa. Overnight stay in Hammamet. Optional excursion: visit to the Medina of Hammamet, a historical and cultural treasure of Tunisia, with narrow and picturesque streets that attracted famous visitors like Swiss painter Paul Klee.
