EXOTIC ALGERIA & TUNISIA TOP DELUXE 14 NIGHTS / 15 DAYS
A 15-day Top Deluxe circuit (5-star hotels) offering a comprehensive journey through Algeria and Tunisia. The Algerian portion explores Algiers (historic sites, Bardo Museum), Roman ruins of Tipaza and Djemila, Constantine, and a Sahara adventure in El Oued. The Tunisian section covers Tunis (Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, Bardo Museum), coastal cities like Sousse, the Roman amphitheater of El Jem, troglodyte houses in Matmata, desert oases in Tozeur, the holy city of Kairouan, and coastal relaxation in Hammamet, emphasizing luxurious accommodations.
DAY BY DAY
Day 1 – Friday: Algiers
After arriving in Algiers, known as “Algiers the White,” you’ll be transferred to your hotel. The day ends with a welcome dinner and an overnight stay at the Sofitel Algiers Hamma Garden 5*.
Day 2: Saturday – Algiers
This day is dedicated to a city tour of Algiers on a half-board basis, including visits to the Notre Dame d’Afrique Church with its panoramic views, the Citadel and the Kasbah, lunch at the typical restaurant Sapori Alger (Dar Soltan), a tour of the Bardo Museum, a stroll along Dibouche Street to admire colonial architecture, a stop at Martyrs’ Square, and free time for shopping at Larbi Benmhidi Street. Overnight stay at Sofitel Algiers Hamma Garden 5★.
Day 3: Sunday – Algiers & Tipaza
The day begins with a full board plan. You’ll travel to Tipaza to visit the Royal Mausoleum of Mauritania and the Roman ruins with a view of the sea. After an included lunch, you will return to Algiers to visit the Grand Mosque, which is the third-largest in the world and has the tallest minaret. Dinner will be at the Piano Piano restaurant before returning to the Sofitel Algiers Hamma Garden 5* for the night.
Day 4: Monday – Algiers, Djemila & Constantine
this is a full board day. You will travel to Constantine, known as “the city of bridges”. You’ll have lunch on the way at the Avito restaurant. The tour includes a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Djemila, known for its well-preserved Roman ruins and museum. Afterward, you will continue to Constantine to visit the Hadj Ahmed Bey Palace. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Marriott Constantine 5*.
Day 5: Tuesday – Constantine
The day is on a full board plan and includes a tour of Constantine. Activities include: Visiting the Roman villa of Tiddis and the bridges of Constantine. Lunch at Igherssan. A visit to the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, the Bey’s Palace, and the Monument to the Dead. Seeing works by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, such as the University of Constantine. You will have dinner and spend the night at the Marriott Constantine 5*.
Day 6: Wednesday – Constantine, Biskra & El Oued (Desert)
With a full board plan, you’ll travel toward Biskra, considered the “gateway to the desert”. On the way, you’ll visit the “balconies of Ghoufi” and continue to El Oued, known as the “city of a thousand domes”. You will check into the La Gazelle d’Or Resort & Spa 5*, an oasis in the Sahara Desert, for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Thursday – El Oued & Sahara Desert
On a full board plan, the morning is for free time. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a unique 4×4 jeep experience in the Sahara, considered one of the most beautiful deserts in the world. The evening culminates with a “one thousand and one nights” dinner in the middle of the desert. Optional quad biking or camel rides are also available for an additional cost. You’ll return to the La Gazelle d’Or Resort & Spa 5* for the night.
Day 8: Friday – El Oued & TUNIS
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Algiers (not included). From there, you will take another flight to Tunis (not included). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Dar El Marsa 5* hotel for the night.
Day 9: Saturday – Tunis, Bardo, Carthage & Sidi Bou Said
On a half board plan, you will visit the Bardo Museum to see its collection of Roman mosaics. You’ll also explore the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After an included lunch, you’ll explore the archaeological site of Carthage, followed by a visit to the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said. Overnight is at the Dar El Marsa 5*.
Day 10: Sunday – Tunis, Monastir & Sousse
This half board day starts with a visit to the Ribat of Monastir and the Bourguiba Mausoleum. After an included lunch, you will visit the Medina of Sousse, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and have free time for shopping. The day ends with a visit to Port El Kantaoui and an overnight stay at the Movenpick Sousse 5*.
Day 11: Monday – Sousse, El Jem, Matmata & Douz
On a full board plan, you will visit the Roman Amphitheater in El Jem and then continue to Matmata to see the underground troglodyte houses. After an included lunch, you’ll end the day in Douz, “the gate to the desert”. Dinner and overnight will be at the Anantara Tozeur 5*. An optional camel or quad ride is available
Day 12: Tuesday – Douz, Chott El Jerid & Tozeur
This full board day includes a trip to Tozeur, passing the Chott El Jerid salt lake. Dinner and overnight are at the Anantara Tozeur 5*. An optional 4×4 excursion to the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza is available, along with a visit to Ong Jmal, a filming location for Star Wars.
Day 13: Wednesday – Tozeur, Kairouan & Hammamet
On a full board plan, you’ll visit Kairouan, a holy city of Islam. The tour includes the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafa and the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi, and a visit to a local carpet factory. After an included lunch, you’ll travel to Hammamet, where you’ll have dinner and an overnight stay at Les Orangers Garden Villas & Bungalows 5*.
Day 14: Thursday – Hammamet
This is a half board day with free time to enjoy the beaches, pool, or spa. An optional olive oil tour to Nabeul and the Hammamet Medina is available. Dinner and overnight will be at Les Orangers Garden Villas & Bungalows 5*.
Day 15: Friday – Hammamet & Tunis
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in Tunis.
