EXOTIC ALGERIA & TUNISIA PREMIUM 15 NIGHTS / 16 DAYS

This extensive 16-day Premium tour (4 and 5 stars hotels) combines the rich history and diverse landscapes of Algeria and Tunisia. The Algerian part covers Algiers (Kasbah, Bardo Museum, Grand Mosque), Roman ruins at Tipaza and Djemila, the “city of bridges” Constantine, and a Sahara Desert experience in El Oued (4×4, desert dinner). The Tunisian leg includes Tunis (Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, Bardo Museum), Sousse, El Jem (Roman Amphitheater), Matmata (troglodyte houses), Tozeur (oases), Kairouan, and Hammamet (beach time).

DAY BY DAY

Day 1 – Friday: Algiers

Upon arrival at Algiers airport, you will be transferred to the Holiday Inn 4* hotel. The evening includes a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Saturday – Algiers

This day is on a half board plan and includes a city tour of Algiers. You will visit the Notre Dame d’Afrique church, the Citadel, the Kasbah, and the Bardo Museum, followed by a walk on the famous Dibouche street. Lunch is included at a typical restaurant. Overnight is at the Holiday Inn 4*.

Day 3: Sunday – Algiers & Tipaza

This is a full board day. You will travel to Tipaza to visit the Royal Mausoleum of Mauritania and the Roman ruins. After an included lunch, you will return to Algiers to visit the Grand Mosque. Dinner will be at the Piano Piano restaurant. Overnight is at the Holiday Inn 4*.

Day 4: Monday – Algiers, Djemila & Constantine

On a full board plan, you will head to Constantine, known as “the city of bridges,” with a lunch stop on the way. You will visit Djemila, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved Roman ruins. You will then visit the Hadj Ahmed Bey Palace in Constantine. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 5: Tuesday – Constantine

This full board day includes a tour of Constantine. You will visit the Roman villa of Tiddis, the bridges, the Emir Abdelkader Mosque, the Bey’s Palace, and the Monument to the Dead. You will also see works by the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 6: Wednesday – Constantine, Biskra & El Oued (Desert)

On a full board plan, you will travel towards Biskra, the “gate to the desert,” and visit the “balconies of Ghoufi” before continuing to El Oued. You will check into the La Gazelle d’Or Resort & Spa 5* for dinner and the night.

Day 7: Thursday – El Oued & Sahara Desert

This full board day includes free time in the morning. In the afternoon, you will take a 4×4 jeep tour in the desert. The evening features a “one thousand and one nights” dinner in the middle of the desert. Optional quad biking or camel rides are available for an additional cost. Overnight is at the La Gazelle d’Or Resort & Spa 5*.

Day 8: Friday – El Oued & TUNIS

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in El Oued for a flight to Tunis, with a stop in Algiers. The flights are not included in the package. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the El Mouradi Gammarth 4* SUP hotel for the night.

Day 9: Saturday – Tunis, Bardo, Carthage & Sidi Bou Said

On a half board plan, you will visit the archaeological site of Carthage, including the Punic ruins, the Baths of Antoninus, and the amphitheater. After an included lunch, you will visit the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Saïd. Overnight is at the hotel in Tunis.

Day 10: Sunday – Tunis, Bardo & Sousse

This half board day includes a visit to the Bardo Museum and the capital city, Tunis. After an included lunch in the Medina, you will have free time for shopping. The day ends with a transfer to Sousse.

Day 11: Monday – Sousse & Monastir

On a half board plan, you will visit the Ribat of Monastir and the Bourguiba Mausoleum. Lunch is included. You will then visit the Medina of Sousse, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with free time for shopping. Overnight is at the hotel in Sousse.

Day 12: Tuesday – Sousse, El Jem, Matmata & Tozeur

This full board day includes a visit to the Roman Amphitheater in El Jem and the troglodyte houses in Matmata. After an included lunch, you will head to Tozeur, passing the salt lake of Chott El Jerid. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel in Tozeur.

Day 13: Wednesday – Tozeur

This full board day begins with a visit to the Medina of Tozeur. An included lunch will be served in the oasis, and the afternoon is free. An optional 4×4 excursion to the mountain oases is available. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel in Tozeur.

Day 14: Thursday – Tozeur, Kairouan & Hammamet

On a full board plan, you will travel to Kairouan to visit the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafa and the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi. After an included lunch, you will head to Hammamet. Dinner and overnight will be at the El Mouradi El Menzah 4*.
