DAY BY DAY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN FUNCHAL
Arrival in Funchal, transfer to hotel, check-in, overnight stay.
Day 2 – Funchal City Tour (Half Day)
Explore Funchal old town, Rua Santa Maria, Farmers’ Market, municipal square, Sé Cathedral, and Pereira d’Oliveiras wine tasting. Lunch not included; afternoon free.
Optional: Quintas gardens – Quinta Vigia, Santa Catarina Park, Botanical Garden Quinta do Bom Sucesso.
Day 3 – Rabaçal / 25 Fountains (Full Day)
11 km walk (~3h30) along Levada of 25 Fountains, through Laurisilva Forest (UNESCO), admiring waterfalls, heather vegetation, and rare flora. Return to hotel.
Day 4 – Queimadas / Caldeirão Verde (Full Day)
13 km walk (~4–5h) along Levada do Caldeirão Verde, through tunnels, lush forests, and ending at the Caldeirão Verde waterfall. Return to hotel.
Day 5 – Levada Serra d’Água / Half Day
Easy 5 km walk along Serra d’Água valley levada with views over south coast, Encumeada, Ribeira Brava, and Campanário. Lunch and free afternoon.
Optional: Catamaran tour from Funchal Marina (3h), whale watching, swimming in the Atlantic.
Day 6 – Departure:
Transfer to Funchal Airport for return flight.
