DAY BY DAY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN FUNCHAL
Welcome at the airport and transfer to the Dom Pedro Garajau apartment hotels & Nature or similar. Check-in and overnight stay.
DAY 2: TRADITIONAL FUNCHAL (BREAKFAST)
Morning welcome and guided tour of Funchal, exploring the old town, Farmers’ Market, main square, and the Sé Cathedral, with a Madeira wine tasting at Pereira d’Oliveiras. Lunch and afternoon at leisure.
Optional: visit the Quintas gardens, including Quinta Vigia, Santa Catarina Park, and the Botanical Garden of Quinta do Bom Sucesso. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 3: EAST TOUR (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at the hotel, then full-day tour of East Madeira: visit Monte, optional wicker sled ride, Ponta de São Lourenço, Porto da Cruz, Santana, and Pico do Arieiro, ending at the Cristo Rei viewpoint. Return to the hotel overnight.
DAY 4: FUNCHAL (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for optional tours.
Options: Half-day tour: Pico dos Barcelos, Eira do Serrado, and Câmara de Lobos fishing village. Catamaran excursion: 3-hour cruise from Funchal marina with possible whale watching and swimming stop.
DAY 5: WEST TOUR (BREAKFAST)
Breakfast and full-day West Madeira tour: Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Madalena do Mar, Porto Moniz pools, São Vicente, Lauriferous forest, and Cabo Girão. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM FUNCHAL (BREAKFAST)
Transfer to Funchal airport depending on flight times. Assistance with check-in formalities and return flight.
