TUNISIA EXOTICA PREMIUM 11 NIGHTS / 12 DAYS

An in-depth 12-day “Exotica” journey across Tunisia, this Premium circuit (4-5 star hotels) offers a full spectrum of experiences. It covers major historical sites in Tunis and Carthage, the Roman Amphitheater in El Jem, the distinct culture of Djerba Island, a journey through the unique troglodyte houses of Matmata to the desert towns of Douz and Tozeur (including optional 4×4 desert tours and Star Wars locations), the sacred city of Kairouan, and coastal relaxation in Hammamet.

DAY BY DAY

DAY 1: TUNIS

Arrival at Tunis airport. Transfer to hotel in Tunis. Overnight in Tunis (Dinner is included).

DAY 2: CARTHAGE – SIDI BOU SAID

Full Board. Explore the archaeological site of Carthage (Punic ruins, Termas de Antonino, Amphitheater). After lunch, visit Sidi Bou Said (white houses, blue doors & windows). Overnight in Tunis.

DAY 3: TUNIS – BARDO – MEDINA – SOUSSE

Full Board. Visit the Bardo Museum (Roman mosaics). Explore Tunis (founded in the 9th century BC). Lunch in the Medina of Tunis. Continue to Sousse. Overnight in Sousse.

DAY 4: SOUSSE – MONASTIR

Full Board. Visit the Ribat of Monastir. Visit the Mausoleum of Bourguiba. Lunch in Monastir. Visit the Medina of Sousse (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Free time in Sousse. Overnight in Sousse.

DAY 5: EL JEM - DJERBA

Full Board. Visit the Roman Amphitheater in El Jem, which rivals Rome’s Colosseum in size. Have lunch in Mahres before continuing to the island of Djerba

DAY 6: Djerba Island Tour

Full Board. Take a tour of the island, visiting the pottery village of Guellala, the historic El Griba Synagogue, and the street art hub of Djerba Hood. Enjoy lunch and some free time in the capital, Houmt Souk, for shopping.

DAY 7: Djerba, Matmata & Douz

Full Board. Cross to the mainland and visit the ancient fortified granaries of Ksour Medenine. Stop in the scenic village of Toujene before heading to Matmata to see the unique troglodyte houses. After lunch, continue to Douz, known as the Gateway to the Desert.

DAY 8: Douz & Tozeur

Full Board. Travel to Tozeur, crossing the stunning salt lake of Chott El Jerid, where you can see mirages. Enjoy an included lunch and free time in the afternoon.

DAY 9: Tozeur

Full Board. Explore the charming Medina of Tozeur. Enjoy lunch in an oasis and have the afternoon free. Optional Excursion: A 4×4 safari to the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Ong Jmal, a filming location for Star Wars.

DAY 10: KAIROUAN & HAMMAMET

Full Board. Visit Kairouan, one of Islam’s holiest cities.See the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nafa and the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi. Visit a local carpet factory before continuing to the coastal city of Hammamet for dinner and the night.

DAY 11: HAMMAMET

Full Board. Enjoy a free day to relax on the beach or at the spa with an all-inclusive stay. Optional Excursion: A half-day tour of Nabeul, the pottery capital, and the Medina of Hammamet.
